Donating the NC Statutes to Cherokee County Detention Center

On Feb 26, 2014, Jill Ellern, a librarian from Western Carolina University, donated a multi-volume set of the complete NC Statutes to Cherokee County Detention Center library. The books were last years volumes which had been replaced with current editions.  They were purchased from the library’s discard inventory for donation to the jail. This donation is part of a project to provide partnerships with local libraries to improve the reading materials available in the jails of western North Carolina.  Contact your local library to see if they are participating in the program.
